Many years ago I was on a flight with British Airways, in a back row seat, and the person ahead of me had their seat fully reclined for HOURS including through our meal. I reached my absolute limits and legitimately asked the flight attendant to get me a parachute because I needed OFF the plane and I needed OFF NOW. She realized what was happening, told the person to put their seat up for the remainder of the flight, and said to me "Just sit back and close your eyes dear. I'll bring you a cup of tea". That cup of tea was one of the best things I've ever tasted. It represented somehow that things were going to be okay, and that allowed me to keep calm.
Someone asked me today how else, in addition to various things they were already doing, might they support a loved one who is feeling anxious and worried about COVID-19 . TEA was my answer. Any tea they/you love will work but I have formulated this blend specifically for the times we're in.
Slow down and listen to the water boil. Watch the water change colour as it steeps. Breathe in the aromatic vapours and envision them bringing peace to every cell in your body. Feel the warmth of the mug in your hands. Finally of course, savour each sip. Allow the tea to swirl in your mouth, to linger as you swallow. No rushing. Just being still. Drinking tea. Because somehow, things are gonna be okay <3
P.S. No tea strainer? No problem. I've got fully compostable tea sacs!
